How To Make A Fun and Festive Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

In case you haven’t noticed, 2020 is the year of the charcuterie. From Halloween themed charcuterie boards, to Charcu-Turkey boards, to Charcuterie Chalets, you probably thought you have seen it all. But as the year is coming to a close, it is only appropriate to end with one last charcuterie board. Welcome the Christmas Tree Charcuterie board, or Charcutree.

The Christmas Tree charcuterie is a perfect and easy festive appetizer to impress your holiday crowd. The best part of this charcuterie is that it is completely customizable. You can design your tree any way you want with any ingredients you choose.

Check out how we made ours!

What To Use As The Base

Most people opt for the wooden charcuterie boards as they have a rustic winter look. We, however, used a Christmas tree platter which was perfect for shaping. This just goes to show that you can really use any board or platter you have lying around.

But if you’re feeling daring, you can even try out this vertical standing Christmas tree charcuterie. Using your best sculpting and Jenga skills, do let us know how this came out.

What To Put On The Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

Within our assembly, there were a few staple items that were important to add. First, we found that rosemary served as a great addition to enhance the tree theme. Not only will it add a fresh aroma to your table, but it also adds some contrasting colors that tie together the board. Of course, the white and creamy brie is a must to add. Aside from this, the cranberry and olive ornaments add a burst of color that, along with the rosemary, provides great accent pieces to the board. And finally, every Christmas tree needs a topper so we included some jellied cranberry as both a tree and cracker topper.

If you have more room, you can also add your crackers to your tree. Otherwise, they can be aligned around the tree or at the bottom to create a festive skirt.

As you can see, there are many ways to build your own Charcutree. We’d love to see them all! Send us how your tree came out. Have some tips you learned in the process? Comment below with your holiday advice!

We hope you have a happy and healthy holiday season!
