Cinco de Drinko: Easy Arnold Palmer Malibu Margarita

Today is nacho average day. It’s time to rock out with your guac out because today is Cinco de Mayo, or for our purposes, Cinco de Drinko. In honor of the holiday, we have crafted a festive cocktail to celebrate with. But remember to drink responsibly, because too many margaritas is likely tequil-ya. Fasten your sombreros and let’s taco bout this Arnold Palmer Malibu Margarita.

If you have been following the Two Bries journey, you will remember that our last margarita creation was a Raspberry Lemonade Frozen Margarita. If that is more your style, feel free to redirect yourself to that recipe and enjoy. However, if you are feeling a little daring then stick with us until the end. We decided to level up this margarita and incorporate both tequila and rum for some additional flair. The Malibu coconut rum was the perfect tequila sidekick which gave way to a smooth and sweet finish.

Recommendations

For the best cocktail outcome, follow our recommendations below:

  • Chill your glass

To further your preparation, let your glasses sit in the freezer about 20 minutes prior to serving. This will give each glass a chilled, thirst-quenching look.

  • Sugar rim your glasses

To take your Marg even further, salt or sugar the rim of each glass. To do this, pour a fair amount of salt/sugar onto a plate. Wet each glass rim and lightly pat and twist onto the plate. For a thicker sugar-look, try using sanding sugar.

  • Grab yourself a Mixology Kit

This kit is definitely a useful tool to have in the house. Not the best bartender out there? Not a worry! This kit has everything you need to make any drink under the sun. From mojitos to margaritas, this kit comes loaded with a mixing spoon, jigger (shot measurer), strainer, shaker, ice tongs, a wine stopper and even a little recipe book! We used this kit in concocting our Arnold Palmer and highly recommend it! Check it out by clicking the Amazon link below.
